BBBS March Madness Happy Hour – March 15th

Kick-off the 2011 NCAA March Madness Tournament in style at Huberts Sports Bar and Grill at the Target Center from 5:30-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15. Enjoy complimentary appetizers and drink specials from Huberts. Additionally, 10% of all food and beverage sales will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities.

AZUL Launch Party – Feb 19th

We’re just under one week away from AZUL’s launch party, Warm Up In The Wild, which takes place at 6-9pm on February 19. Join us as we grab our flip flops (dress code is “winter beach casual”) and head over to the warm Tropics Trail at the MN Zoo to mingle with other young professionals while playing beach games and getting to know the “locals” – perhaps a West African Dwarf crocodile or De Brazza’s monkey? And the first AZUL signature cocktail is on us!
We have also have an array of fabulous giveaways including a Kitchen Window gift certificate, tour and tickets to an in-studio performance from The Current, and a photography portrait package, to name a few, and of course, our drawing for a free trip to Playa Viva, one of Mexico’s most celebrated eco-luxury retreats!

Winter WonderBlast – March 4th

Join the Twin Cities’ most dynamic faces for an evening of mingling, dancing and interacting with the cities’ hottest entertainers on the south shore of Lake Calhoun. From a fantastical fitness fashion show where you vote for best abdominals to passionate performances by many of the city’s most extravagant artists, Winter WonderBlast will be one event you won’t want to miss. Plus, the proceeds from this incredible event will benefit Special Olympics Minnesota.
The evening’s entertainment will include memorable performances by unbelievable talent.

Winter WonderBlast will be taking place in a large, heated pavillion at Thomas Beach on the south shore of Lake Calhoun. These shuttles will run every seven minutes to and from Cowboy Slims and the Calhoun Executive Building (where parking is most convenient).

In honor of National Mentoring Month, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities (BBBS) is partnering with CRAVE Restaurants to call attention to the importance of youth mentoring in the Twin Cities. Join the BBBS Young Professionals Group at CRAVE in the Shops at West End for a special happy hour on Tuesday, January 25. CRAVE has graciously reserved the Ambassador Room for the group and will donate a selection of appetizers. Thanks to Opulent Vodka, a signature cocktail will be created specifically for the occasion and 100% of sales of the signature drinks will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities!

Join the Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) Young Professionals Group on Tuesday, December 7 at the Depot in Downtown Minneapolis for Festivus! This happy hour is open to all young professionals in the Twin Cities; there’s no need to have previously attended a previous Young Professionals event before and no need to be a current volunteer with BBBS.
Ticket price includes appetizers, skate rental and admission to the Depot’s ice skating rink. You don’t have to skate to participate! There will be a bar and networking area next to the skating rink.
Make sure to dress the part in your favorite ‘ugly’ holiday sweater. John Hanson, Elizabeth Ries and Emily Engberg, the hosts from Twin Cities Live, will be on hand to select their favorite. The winner will receive a fantastic prize for two!
The cost of your ticket supports the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters, which supports one-to-one friendships for children living in the 10-county metro area.

Facilitated by Matt Norman of Dale Carnegie, the event will utilize crowd sourcing and interactive roundtable discussions to bring out your best and brightest ideas. At the end of the evening you’ll have the opportunity to present your idea to a panel of expert judges who will award the team with the best plan.
